Hofatex Tape ABK
Butyl rubber tape is used when laying the Hofafest UD boards on roofs with inclination below 20 ̊. It assures an airproof covering of joint areas. In addition, it can be applied on the interface of the board and roof openings (chimney, skylight, ventilation pipes, etc.) as well as on crevices in places of roof's range and valley, or where there is a change in roof's inclination.
Usage:
- The application surface must be cleared of dirt, dust, loose particles and smearing.
- In order to assure both perfect adhesion of the Hofatex Tape ABK/PE tape and appropriate system quality of the Hofafest UD boards, it is necessary to apply the Hofatex Primus penetration coating on places of the tape application.
- Optimal firmness of application is achieved, when the tape is placed on the surface after the penetration coating has dried. When applied, the Hofatex Tape ABK/PE tapes cannot be strung and they have to adhere to the surface perfectly.
